Morocco has become a new force in the golf
holiday scene for two main reasons. Firstly, the
huge investment into the golf sector has provided
first class courses and accommodation. Secondly,
the low-cost airlines branching out even further
afield with their cheap airfares, which have
ultimately made it much more accessible for us to
visit.
Even without the Golf, Marrakech has an
abundance of culture, colour and vibrancy to keep
you occupied for your stay. Just walking around
this city will give you a real culture shock, but it is
very enriching and interesting to experience the
colour of the city and their infamous markets.

Golf in Marrakech
The majority of the best courses in Marrakech are to
the south of the city, however due to the small size
of Marrakech they are all in close proximity to one
another and easy to get to.
The golf courses are truly spectacular and give you a
truly unique experience. The majority of them all
have a breath-taking view of the infamous Atlas
Mountains which is a sight to behold.
The Royal Marrakech Golf Club is the oldest Golf club
in the whole of Morocco and has a real prestigious
and VIP feel to it. Even historical figures such as
Winston Churchill and General Eisenhower have
played here on the Old Course.
The standout course in Marrakech would have to be
The Assoufid Golf Club. This Golf Club is coveted with
awards, winning the “NO 1 Golf Club in Morocco”
award in 2019 and “Africa’s Best Course” award in
2017”. It has been built on desert land with
astonishing views of the Atlas Mountains, it really
does feel like the pinnacle of Marrakech on this track.
